The Winifred Red Raiders boys completed their 2007-2008 season by winning the
state championship game over Rocky Boy, the team they beat to win the Northern C
crown the week before.
Not only did Winifred go undefeated en route to winning its first boys state
championship since 1974, the team did so while playing one of the toughest
schedules in Montana Class C History.
During the course of their incredible season, winning beat state runner-up Rocky Boy
twice. The defeated state third place finisher three times, and just for good measure,
they defeated defending state champion Hays-Lodgepole twice as well.
